Get into the Halloween Spirit with the return of one of our most popular events, our hands-on Pumpkin Carving Workshop for kids and families! We provide the carving tools, patterns, paint, and assistance as needed to help you create your Pumpkin masterpiece.

You may purchase your Pumpkin at our event or BYOP (bring your own pumpkin). Our team members will be available to help with small children that may need assistance and to use some higher skill level tools. Please feel free to bring your own patterns, stencils, or stickers to add originality to your one of a kind Pumpkin.

All ages are welcome. Open to the public. Free.

Troop 158 Eagle Scout Alex Williams worked with the staff at Builders in Kearney to get the materials to replace the sign at the Nebraska Youth Camp in Kearney. Builders ordered custom cedar planks to create the main part of the sign. The paint, stain, address numbers, pavers, mulch, and solar lighting were all purchased from the Kearney store.

The mission of Nebraska Youth Camp is to provide God’s people a wholesome environment, recreation and instruction in the knowledge of God’s word in order to strengthen their walk with God.

If you’re using copper, mark the correct depth for the fitting. SharkBite’s deburring tool can help you mark the proper depth on copper pipe after you’ve smoothed out the cut edges. SharkBite PVC tubing has markings to help you know when the tube is inserted all the way.
Then, simply push the tube into the SharkBite fitting until you reach the depth mark. That’s it!

It takes a little more to be a Stihl Hardware All Star.Since 2011, HBSDealer has reached out to suppliers, distributors, manufacturers, vendors, retailers and homeowners in search of high-performing, service-oriented, community-minded hardware store, lumberyard or farm and ranch dealers worthy of All-Star status.

It’s a tribute to this industry that each year brings a surplus of high-quality nominations. The companies profiled have earned their place on the list of 50 — one from each state. And they join an elite fraternity of honorees.

Montana

Farm & Home, of Wellington, is clearly doing something right. If it wasn’t, it wouldn’t have 9,000 subscribers to its rewards program in a town of 5,000. That, added to its double-digit growth each year, tells the story of a store that’s meeting a need in its community. The 30,000-sq.-ft. store has an especially robust power equipment selection and outdoor nursery, and it continues to give back to its community by sponsoring charitable events, such as a coat donation drive that rewards participants with $50 toward their Carhartt clothing department.

Habitat for Humanity’s Home Builders Blitz 2017

The Habitat for Humanity Home Builders Blitz 2017

As part of a national effort, home builders, sub-contractors, and suppliers across the county partnered with Habitat for Humanity June 5-9. 300 Habitat homes were built across the country.

This was Grand Island Area Habitat for Humanity’s fourth “blitz build”. The 2017 “Blitz Build” was in Wood River.

The support that was received from the Wood River community was amazing! Here’s a video from a 5 de Mayo fundraiser:
